Cao Qingyao, the spokesman of State Forestry Administration recently announced that Third China (Mudanjiang) wood Expo will be launch in Mudanjiang city ,Heilongjiang Province from August 16 to 22. The theme is the innovation of Timber Brand in Heilongjiang Province.
Lei Jiafu, the deputy director of State Forestry Bureau introduced that Chian Wood Expo is not only the great event of China Wood Industry Development, but also a grant incident of Chinas forestry industry development.
As Chinas major forestry province, the forest area and volume of Heilongjiang Province top among the whole nation. As for developing the forestry industry especially timber industry, it possesses excellent natural resources advantages. Mudanjiang City actively develop new regional economic growth, vigorously promote the development of the forestry industry, and eventually gained remarkable achievement.
Since from “The 10th Five-Year Plan ”, the total value of China Forestry industry has grown by double-digital Speed, and has made a breakthrough on year 2006. The trade volume of forestry products has achieved 47 billion U.S. dollars. with a change from deficit to surplus. As important component of forestry industry, the timber industry is showing the good posture of a variety of investment, expanding the industry scale, industries gathering. It has transferred from using one market and one recourse to two markets and two resources both abroad and at home.
Forestry Industry has plays increasingly important role in promoting Chinas economic and social development, the building of a new socialist countryside, as well as the building a socialist harmonious society.
According to sources, China (Mudanjiang) Wood Expo is commonly hosted by the State Forestry Bureau, the Heilongjiang Provincial government, and co-organized by National timber industry management office, Heilongjiang Forestry Bureau, Heilongjiang Forest Industry Office as well as Mudanjiang municipal government. It plans to launch in Mudanjiang City each year from August 16 –22. This is the third Expo.
